On lit au bas : « Suivant une pieuse tradition l’image de la Sainte Vierge que l’on révère dans cette chapelle depuis un temps immémorial fut trouvée par un berger de Bellancourt gardant un troupeau près de l’arbre qui faisait anciennement la séparation des deux terrains de Bellancourt et de Vauchelles ». Dans le deuxième tableau à droite en entrant on voit aussi entre autres choses principales une voiture attelée d’un côté d’un cheval noir, de l’autre de deux chevaux noir et blanc. Le cheval noir vient à bout de tirer la voiture au milieu de laquelle est l’image de la Ste Vierge et de l’enfant Jésus vers la chapelle de Mouflières [Monflières] et on lit au bas : « Un pieux débat s’éleva entre les habitants de Bellancourt et de Vauchelles, chacun prétendant à la possession de l’image vénérable , mais un événement extraordinaire décida à qui le ciel destina le précieux dépôt ». En haut dans le loin au-dessus de la chapelle on voit un ange tenant une banderolle sur laquelle on lit « C’est ici qu’elle recevra vos hommages ».
